Sydni Elhubishi - The Rockstar Doula

Hi! I’m Sydni. I'm a wife, mom to two wild boys, former yoga teacher, professional country music backup singer and fiddle player, and birth-obsessed doula. My family and I live in Alvaton, Kentucky, about an hour north of Nashville, Tennessee. We love a good four-wheeler or golf cart ride on our property, and kitchen karaoke and dance parties frequently happen in our home.

As a seasoned stage performer backing up artists like Carrie Underwood, Jimmy Fortune, Terri Clark, and Patty Loveless, I know a thing or two about playing a supporting role to a powerhouse and owning my space without taking up someone else’s.

At your birth, YOU are the powerhouse. YOU are the star of the show. The stage is yours, and I’m here to bring harmony and enhance the whole experience for you.

Aside from being an entertainer, I’m also an encourager by nature, and I bring that confidence and energy of "I believe in you" into every birth I attend. I love solving problems and asking questions that others are afraid to ask - in fact, I find that to be one of my strengths.

Another strength of mine is trust, and I trust in a mother's intuition like it's a dang superpower.

I want you to believe, wholeheartedly, that your intuition is your God-given superpower.

It is an honor and privilege to be invited into someone's birth space, to be part of the moment that they welcome their baby into the world. I don't take it lightly, and I can't wait to be part of your birth team.

Let’s face it. Pregnancy, no matter if it’s your first or fifth, can bring A LOT of uncertainty. These calls are your place to unload your fears, anxieties, what ifs, and questions with someone who can help you sort through all of the noise to help you get to your foundation and top priorities for your birth experience.

We can cover different scenarios, birth planning and preferences, coping techniques, etc. all from the comfort of your home

Total Rockstar Package

You want to feel like the total rockstar of your birth, right? Here’s where we build that plan together. Prenatal meetings get us comfortable with each other so you’re totally confident in your team, because feeling safe is a huge part of labor progress. In our time together, I’ll learn how to best support you and your partner in the event that is birth. Then, it’s SHOWTIME!
You’ll be able to labor confidently, knowing that your partner and I have your back. At the end of it all, I want you to be able to say “Holy ____, I just DID THAT!!”

    We originally hired Sydni as our doula because my husband wasn’t comfortable with the idea of a home birth, while I was determined to do so. A doula was part of our compromise: lending an extra set of hands, emotional support, and her wisdom/experience.

    What I didn’t know at the time was that having an extra support person to check on me/us throughout the pregnancy and after our birth would bring me so much peace. I didn’t know that Sydni would be my own personal cheerleader, who was well-versed in natural birth, who intuitively knew when to offer assistance (counter pressure, massage, water/snacks, words of affirmation, etc), who would make myself & my terrified husband feel at ease, the list goes on. I didn’t know that by the end of this journey, I would consider her a friend.

    We hired her late in my pregnancy, and I am so thankful that we did. Because of her, I was able to have an unmedicated hospital birth that went incredibly smoothly. I felt secure knowing she was there to advocate for my birth plan and my choices.
    She helped us decide when to go to the hospital, coached me through different labor and pushing positions, helped me with coping methods during contractions, and was a calm and reassuring presence during labor and delivery.

    My husband was able to be calm and present with me during labor because he didn't have to focus on what the nurses and doctors were doing. He was far more relaxed and engaged in the process than even he thought he would be, and I fully credit that to having Sydni with us.
